Synopsis

The Creepy. The Demented. The Unexplained. The Unearthly.

Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) grew up hunting such terrifying things. But that's all in the past. Law school beckons him. So does safety and normalcy. That is, until Sam's estranged brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) appears with troubling news: their father, a man who's been hunting evil for 22 years, has disappeared. So now, to find him, the brothers must hunt what their father hunts ... and Sam must return to the life he thought he'd left behind.

Hold on tight (and keep the lights on!) for all 22 Season One Episodes of the edgy, hip series that has viewers in its grip and critics enthralled. Share the suspense as Sam and Dean travel back roads and highways using the secret skills their father taught them to confront a nightmare array of spirits.

Witness the Supernatural!

Personal Thoughts

The X-Files ended in 2002 ... At that time, I said to myself, there's no telling how long we'll have to wait for another creepy/dark show like that to come along ... thank goodness the wait was only three years. Supernatural is interesting in that it combines elements of all of my favorite games, movies and TV-Series, and presents it in one creepy show, much like the X-Files did. (think X-Files meets Stephen King, meets The Ring, meets Stir of Echoes, meets Wrong Turn ... etc)

Supernatural's vibe ... the dark, the mood, the atmosphere, accompanied by rural back roads, ghosts, and eerie storytelling ... had me hooked from the very beginning.

The episodes are great, the plot is good, the chemistry between characters Sam and Dean is solid (though, in my opinion, not quite on the level of Mulder and Scully)

Overall, this is a great show if you like them dark, eerie and creepy (like I do) which is why I'm making this my very first "Television Series Recommendation" (fifth recommendation overall) ... Good for a dark rainy night, and also good if you wanna see something shorter and creepy (that's like a movie), but you're too tired to make it through an actual movie.

Supernatural can be seen on the CW Network (Friday Nights 9:00 PM EST)
Supernatural is also running in syndication on TNT
