About Paranormal Witness

Don't watch it alone!

Paranormal Witness is an intense, cinematic, high-octane drama-documentary series. The show brings to life the true stories of people who have lived through explanation-defying paranormal experiences.

Using a mixture of intimate first-hand testimony, personal photos and real footage, combined with grittily realistic drama, Paranormal Witness will transport you into a world turned upside down by extraordinary and terrifying events.

Personal Thoughts

Paranormal Witness is a "paranormal" themed documentary-style television series (based on real-life stories and actual events) that premiered on September 7th of 2011.

I've watched Paranormal Witness from the beginning, since it started a little over a year ago, and it has quickly climbed the ranks, and has become one of my favorite paranormal/ghost shows. The stories are frightening, the atmosphere and cinematography is excellent, the music is eerie, and best of all, the show is scary.

The show can currently be seen Wednesday nights, at 10/9c, on the SyFy channel following Ghost Hunters.

Haunted Houses, Poltergeists, Spirits, Ghost, Creatures, UFO's and More ...

My favorite documentary show of all-time is Unsolved Mysteries (the Robert Stack hosted segments), which covered a variety of unexplained stories (bizarre murders, UFO's, ghosts stories and more).

But in light of the some of the changes to Unsolved Mysteries -- The passing of Robert Stack in 2003, a new host (Dennis Farina), along with an all new soundtrack (music that completely takes away from the atmosphere of the show in my opinion) -- I've been on the hunt for other good documentary-style shows, especially ones that emphasize paranormal phenomena.

Though I've stumbled across quite a few of these type of shows during some of my exhausted searches, none have interested me more than Paranormal Witness. It simply had everything I was hoping to find in a television series.

So without writing a book, Paranormal Witness is a well made series, suitable for people who enjoy things like bigfoot, ghost stories and UFO's. Most of the stories are told through real first-hand testimony, which are then combined with nerve-wracking and bone chilling reenactments, to further enhance the experience. Paranormal Witness, in my opinion, is as terrifying as it is interesting, which is why I've decided to make it my 3rd television series recommendation. It's perfect for a dark, October night, but if you're the type of person who scares easily, then you may wanna think twice about watching it alone.
